both the animals and the storm.

Those abandoned wooden barns
with one wall collapsed,
overgrown with vines and ferns.
The epitome of giving in.

I close the door
and all the windows,
leave it to the glass
to challenge the rain.

That little bird,
somewhere in here,
is searching for where
the wind has gone.

once, then
twice.

on the hood of a car

I've called it my masterpiece

i shouldn't write when i'm stonedpeople say you're

but i think more than that,
i think the biggest reason
we're drawn to each other is
that neither of us fit anywhere.
we are both lonely. and we are sad.

being together. if i could,
i would paint a picture
of two souls tethered close
but sitting in separate rooms

wow tiff this is really awesome! i like how you are able to stimulate visualization with the reader through your words. that is one critical obstacle any writer (poetry or prose), has to be able to overcome.

Interesting, I have been missing your work.
Everytime I read something of yours, I spend hours trying to get in your head. I think I'll just enjoy your thoughts and ponder my own "scribbles in the margin."
